This is me on one end of the tent taking a picture of the other end of the tent. I'm showing off the vast expanse that is our tent.
We made friends with three deer that came to visit our campsite. We decided they must be regulars because they weren't bothered by us at all.
There are two deer laying down in this picture, momma and baby. Baby was about 20 feet from where we were standing, and momma was further back - it was so precious!
Here are some of the elk and bison we saw. LBL has two prairies where they maintain elk and bison, and as you drive around the prairie you might be able to see these amazing animals. We saw elk from a distance, which was amazing. And then we passed a momma bison with her babies. Lots of momma wildlife with baby wildlife on this trip.
We also went to a drive-in movie where we ate the best cheeseburgers ever and watched Borne Ultimatum...which worked out great for me because when we went to see this at the movie theatre, I spent the last half of the movie in the restroom giving back the popcorn I was so excited about eating.
Overall, the trip was full of reading, relaxing, swimming, roasting marshmallows...and really, what more do you need in a mini vacation.
