Having your house broken into and all your valuables stolen really sucks. You would expect the worst part of it to be that ALL OF YOUR STUFF is gone. But no - by far, the worst part has been freaking bank of america. We've been with the same bank for over five years and never had a problem. We loved everything about our bank, but then again, we were easy, average customers. Add a small crisis to the mix, and the 'fit hits the shan'. Maybe our bank thinks society still works on the barter system, and that we really don't need actual money. Who cares if it was our money to begin with...we'll just trade stuff (oh, that's right - our stuff is gone too).
It all comes back to this one lady who referred to herself as a 'banker'. I balk at that notion. She's an idiot behind a computer who has access to important numbers when she shouldn't. She asked us about free theatre tickets ... yeah right! Is this part of that barter system? You slap us in the face and we give you free tickets?
...just generally venting in post-burglary frustration.

Are any of your family members ex-military? If so...Two words for you: usaa.com, for banking and insurance. They are unbeatable for customer service.
Wow. That really sucks. SO GLAD you guys had the home-owners' insurance! And, no matter what bank you have, whenever anything catastrophic happens... they ALL SUCK BALLS. We'll have to wait and see about USAA since we haven't been with it for long, but just know that it's a universal thing: banks are no help during crises.
You guys are in our thoughts and prayers.
Nuttin but love.
She asked you about free theatre tix!?! I can't believe the audacity, no sheer stupidity! I really hope you write a letter. On another note, you've been tagged and I hope you'll participate. See my blog....
Um, how far back (generationally) do you have to go to be eligible for USAA?
I think parent or grandparent...
